This is a mistake, this is such a big mistake, it was so dumb of me to not look at a relationship like I do everything else in life. I'm usually saved from disappointment by having realistic expectations. But sometimes you get so caught up in a crush (especially when you've been gone for 5 months and aren't experiencing the day-to-day reality) that you forget the same rules still apply.

Dammit. I have no luck in this area of life!
