Okay, is the president Yoon Sung's father? Is THAT where we're going with this whole beans/not-beans thing? I do not know how to feel about it. On the one hand, OMGSOAWESOME. If so, that means that Yoon Sung's real dad left his second dad to die, who is now being revenged by Yoon Sung's fake-dad-who-could-also-be-his-real-dad. On the other hand, this is the third potential daddy/not daddy this drama. Also, how the hell did him and Kyung Hee get together? Wasn't he still some sort of high-powered official around the time Yoon Sung would have been conceived?
But seriously Yoon Sung. wtf is with pushing Nana away. I understand it and it makes sense because you apparently think you're going to die- which, okay, Mr. Sunshine- but JUST MAKE OUT WITH HER ALREADY. First you kiss the girl, then you spend two episodes pushing her away, then she gets shot for you and you nurse her back to health and ask her not to go and backhug her, then you spend the next four episodes being cute and coupley, and then you tell her you like her,but can never be with her? I AM SO PISSED OFF AT YOU ON NANA'S BEHALF.
jfc. I thought we already established four episodes ago that Nana is strong enough to take care of herself, physically and emotionally. I mean, I understand the logistics: you think you're going to die sooner rather than later so getting close to Nana would inevitably hurt her as well as heighten the risk that she'd get hurt by the fourth target. But it's clear that the real reason is just Jin Pyo getting into his head with all this "everyone you love will bleed" crap.
But at the same time that I'm irrationally angry at Yoon Sung because of Nana, I also still love him. How troublesome.
And also, THAT RING. I simultaneously hate and love that ring. Kyung Hee, WHY WOULD YOU ASK NANA IF YOON SUNG HAD GIVEN HER THE RING, YET? YOU JUST BROKE A MILLION MOM CODES WITH ONE SENTENCE.
The ring just highlights how messed up Yoon Sung's worldview is. His mom tells him to put a ring on it and immediately he begins to think of why he SHOULDN'T give it to Nana. Ugh, Yoon Sung. I understand WHY you are being a noble idiot but that doesn't mean I have to like it.
