I had a sneaky suspicion that this was going to be a difficult quarter, though at the time, I had thought it would have been only because of how many classes I booked. I was able to look at yoga as my ME hour, the time that I was not allowed to focus on anything other than self discovery and emotional recuperation. Alas, that was the first class that was neglected, and then I wasn't able to go at all.
I'm beyond thankful for the instructor that I have, that she is so much more of the "zen" type instead of the "workout until your ears bleed, BURN THOSE CALORIES" type. I've learned so much from her beyond just a beautiful and wonderful way to keep myself strong and centered.
A mantra that I repeat to myself during our last 5 to 10 minutes (meditating) is "Only me. Only here. Only now." with each breath.
It's also fascinating to take the class alongside a human biology class. It's extremely interesting to learn how the body works as you're learning how the body feels.
