Hi Lauren. Okay, if I may....

I think in these 'lows', try not to sell your good qualities short. Clearly, you have some kind of focus that is very, very admirable. It often seems that this is exactly what think you lack--you can't focus on your writing. But I think rather, you have trouble taking focus off of one "big" goal at a time.

I mean, you had a desire to travel, to be abroad, (to love?) and you lived in Africa for years. Not everyone has that kind of focus and dedication to one of their passions.

You came back and had a need to focus on your weight and health, and you've really done that. And have not, as far as I can tell, given up on it. And lord knows that a 'diet' or exercise would be the first thing I'd give up when just about anything went wrong.

So. I guess my advice would be: either work on ways to increase your ability to 'multitask' (not like, walking and chewing gum...multi-life-task, the thing that no one is good at and why life coaches became a lucrative career path) or, allow yourself the freedom to move on (and forward) from 'fitness challenge' mode. And just, know this might be a thing of yours. You do one big thing at a time. If you KNOW that, you know you have an extra step...letting go of the last big thing before you move on to the next. Fitness. Writing. Photographer fame. Billionaire husband. Etc.

Chin up, I say. Some people do zero big things. You're way ahead of the game.
