These two things have been the ongoing blessings and curses this past year. Thought it was time for a quick update.
I haven't worked out in a few weeks. I needed a break. Luckily I haven't gained anything back, though, of course, I haven't lost anything either. But I always seem to give up here or plateau, and I don't want to do that. So I am mentally regrouping to push through. I know that by spring, by the time clothes start to get more revealing, I will be where I want to be. Though I may wait until after next week to really get started, with it being thanksgiving and all. We'll see.
I have been writing more, though it is still sadly sporadic. I am working on taking it one day at a time. I don't know if I'll reach the NaNoWriMo deadline, but I am going to still try. But I have a LOT to make up to even dream about getting close to that goal, so we'll have to see what the weekend brings. I am assisting on a play most evenings for the next few weeks starting this weekend, so I am really going to have to try and change my habit of being a night-owl writer. But we'll see. Funny though, I finally feel like, for the first time since I have started writing over 5 years ago, that I am doing this 'right' (whatever that means!). I say this because I have stopped trying to force my characters to be something they don't want to be. I have general ideas for how I want them to be, and I know where the story is going, but I am just writing and seeing what happens. That is very promising to me.
