I got the job!...I'll be making just a tiny bit over what I make right now, but in the Norfolk area that's great!...I'll technically be a financial/economic analyst (still plenty of stats) and I will have lots of room to grow within the team over the years (they'll get me a security clearance, training, etc.)...It sounds like getting them to pay for school won't be too difficult, either, but even if they don't cover everything, there's always financial aid and classes at ODU are much less expensive than they were at GWU, so that's not a big deal...Benefits are awesome, as well...I get the formal job offer letter this evening or tomorrow, hopefully...I want that in hand before I start doing anything else...Assuming that everything is kosher, though, they want me to start January 2!...
It also sounds like I will get this condo, too, and I should be able to close on Dec 27 (I'm faxing off a signed addendum to the contract as we speak)...That's a good thing because now I have somewhere to live before I start my new job!...I will still need to tell ODU that I can no longer be a research assistant...I hope they understand...Then I need to decide which class to drop (two classes is enough if I'm working full time, I think), and I may still renegotiate my financial aid, just to beef up my savings for this first semester while I see how things go with the job, the condo, and school and all...Besides, Booz Allen probably doesn't pay for classes up front, so I will need to cover my tuition until they reimburse me...Whatever, though, I'm still very excited!...Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!...
