I hate that "Dream as if you will live forever/ Live as if you will die today" crap. Not to mention, "Dance as if no one is watch", and all the other stereotypical xanga/livejournal titles.
I don't know what I want more, people to be more original, so I don't have to keep reading the same thing when I open a new xanga, or for people to quit over using that Carpi Diem shit. I mean, Carpi Diem is a great philosophy, but does everyone have to use some variation of it in the LJ, xanga, or any other life altering literature. Sure, it is supposed to be a reminder, but we see it sooo much--I am to the point where I just write it off.
Maybe I have no room to talk with originality, I do cite Fight Club, the book and movie, for my livejournal title, Operation Latte Thunder, but before that--The Praxis of Existence--it was completely original.
Blah. Back to writing Beronte's final paper, then off to do Mile's.
ONe more discreet question: Why do I help people get what I want?
Sorry all of you with a "clever" variation of Carpi Diem as your title...but you get on my nerves. Not singularly, but collectively.
