| CARNIVAL CORPSE Carnival Corpse is a week long tournament that is held every IC month; that is approximately every three months in real time. It will be announced three IC days before it commences, giving players just a bit over a week to sign their characters up. The tournament is optional, but only characters with a Branch of Sin can participate. In other words, you can only participate if you have died at least twice! Characters will be expected to fight each other using the branch of sin, and while other methods of combat are acceptable, the focus is on the unique power they have found themselves with. The grand prize winner of the tournament will be granted a month's supply of candy and 1,000,000 CP. The two runner up will get a month supply of candy each. Winning a match earns you 1,000 CP, and losing a match will earn you a penalty game. It is possible to die from a match! In this case, your character will play their penalty game after they have revived. PENALTY GAMES To reiterate what was said above, if your character dies from a match they will be whisked off to play as soon as they revive. Otherwise, directly after they lose the match, they will be forced to play. The game consists of a roulette machine being spun; there are various body parts on the reel, and your character will tell the member of staff when to stop the machine. Whatever part it lands on is something you get removed. You can bleed out from having a body part removed, but upon revival you will still be missing that part. Upon your next death after that, the part will be restored; the exceptions are hair and fingernails. Your long locks will not be restored if they are cut, nor will your nails (though any skin sliced off at the same time will be restored upon the character's second following death). With the above in mind, if having your character lose a part would instantly kill them and continuing to not have it will kill them again upon revival, that is ok! They will die twice. They would not receive a reward for this death. Consider them lucky! All removals are done without anesthetic, while your character is strapped down. Mods will create a thread for your character's penalty game and PM your character journal the link unless you have specified beforehand that you'd rather handwave it. The penalty games will be broadcasted on TVs set up across the facility so no one misses a single second of another character's agony. Players can choose to either have a random part removed, picked by the mods, or they can select it themselves.
