Round 9 at history20in20 was a free round, but I choose a topic for myself anyway: the Regency Era. And I ended up iconing mainly regency fashion... I can't help it, it's just so pretty!

The category icons should all depict one year in history, in my case 1815. The historical events behind the icons are as follows:
1. Prince William of Orange is crowned the first sovereign King of The Netherlands: William I
2. In the Battle of Waterloo Napoleon is defeated by a combination of British, Dutch, Hannoverian and Prussian armies
3. Emma, Jane Austen's fourth novel is published
4. Nelson's Monument (in the shape of a telescope) is erected on Carlton Hill, Edinburgh to commemorate Admiral Nelson
5. Napoleon is kept aboard the HMS Bellepheron in Plymouth Harbor for two weeks, while the British authorities decide what to do with him
