Pillars of the Earth was the joy of my (fandom) summer. A large scale medieval drama, I hadn't seen that in years! In my teens I had a medieval 'period' when a friend and I would read medieval books and watch medieval movies and talk/dream about knights and castles all the time... Thanks to POTE, I was catapulted right back into that period (though the 19th century now firmly owns my heart.) It was a beautiful story about a period in history I hardly knew anything about. Plus, when I look at cathedrals now, I will be even more impressed with those who build them. And ofcourse all the wonderul British actors which populated POTE, a joy to watch! You can see I've made quite a lot of icons of Maud, because I love her dresses and hairstyle. I'm pretty sure another batch of POTE icons might be coming, but first I have to make some 20in20 icons!
