Sunny & Sherry send their best regards and purrs to Mesie and Pip. (Sunny is leaning over my shoulder right now, and that's how I'm interpreting his purrs and head butts, anyway.)
Sorry to hear you've got more snow -- it's *finally* melting here in Minnesota, but the backyard is still a sea of solid white, so no gardening quite yet. But I've been dreaming of pulling crabgrass, so maybe that's a good sign. Even digging out weeds sounds good right now.
Mesie & Pip send best regards and purrs back. So cute that Sherry was leaning over your shoulder.
Even digging out weeds sounds good right now. I'm so with you on that. Although I haven't minded this winter nearly as much as I expected, given how long and cold it's been. Maybe it's because I finally got boots that actually keep my feet warm. ;)
It's good to *see* you too. I hope I will be a bit more active on LJ from now on.
You know, I'm not sure I've ever tried to scratch Mesie's nose. She is very keen on butting her head against mine while she stands on my desk and rests her paws on my shoulder, however. ;)
oh, so pretty[exclamation]. the snow must be a bummer, this being march and all, but it's so lovely. i'm not sure i'd trade our sixty and sunny for it, but it's my second choice.:) [i'm learning to copy and paste emoticons.]
it must be so nice and cozy inside with the kitties and books. hope you can stay in and enjoy it. *HUGS*
oddly enough, i'm not nearly as bummed out by the snow as i thought i would be, especially given that it's march and winter started in early november. i suppose it's because i haven't had to shovel the stuff much. i've been excused on account of my back and poor B has been bearing the brunt of it. he's pretty sick of snow at this point.
it was lovely and cozy inside with the kitties. so cozy that i practically fell asleep on the couch while proofing. i suppose it's my own fault for wearing my pjs to work. ;) *FROSTY HUGS*
snow in november would ruin my whole winter. no going out for thanksgiving or christmas. i don't know what i'd do, besides cry a lot. february snow suits me a lot better.;)
poor b, though. i literally can't imagine how tiresome it must be to shovel it out of the way knowing it's coming right back. it just seems crazy to live in places where that happens. but then there are very few places on this continent where i don't think it's crazy to live, and they would fill up fast if everyone agreed.:D
go you with you jammies at work. i'm rocking the black cat night shirt myself today, after dressing up for outdoor spring the last two days. don't you just need a day off from clothes once in a while[question mark]. though i won't so much be working as watching the sopranos and reading i am legend [graphic novel version] while waiting for ups with that keyboard.:)
did ups deliver your keyboard? for your sake i hope so, although i will miss your parenthetical substitutions. ;)
i can totally see why your winter would be ruined by november snow. it's hard for anyone with reduced mobility. this winter has been tough on my parents and aunt P because of it. spring can't come too soon for them.
or for B. in addition to shovelling snow, he also generally walks to and from work. i've given him a lift on some of the coldest days but sometimes it's been a choice between shovelling snow so we can get the car out of the driveway and walking to work. kind of six of one, half a dozen of the other. he usually opts for walking, probably because it seems less futile.
i confess practically every day is a day off from clothes for me. unless i have to go somewhere. but even then, i keep the jammies on as long as possible and hop back into them the minute i return home. i fear what this may reveal about my personality

Remember 3 years ago you sent me a couple of books? An Alan Lightman, and Anansi Boys? I finally read Anansi Boys! And it is one of those books where all I could think was - why did I wait so long to read this book?! I loved it, so a much belated thank you is sent your way. I didn't forget.
I am so over snow. Although I did enjoy the snow day yesterday, I am ready for spring. I know, the pictures are pretty, blah, blah, blah, (we did have beautiful ice coated trees today that absolutely sparkled in the sunlight), but enough already. Canada is done of you Old Man Winter.
I totally remember sending you the books and I am so glad that you loved Anansi Boys. I'm the worst for buying or receiving books and letting them languish on my TBR shelf forever and a day.
I, too, am more than ready for spring. A good six inches of our snow melted yesterday and there are daffodil shoots in the clear patch next to our house, so I am feeling hopeful! ;)
