So my Goodreads total and the total I am presenting here do not match. Again. According to GR, I read 115 books in 2013. My list here tallies 135. That's really interesting that The Westing Game is one of your favourites. I read it because it was one of Oddmonster's favs as well and she recc'd it to me at one point. I really enjoyed it and for a "kids" book found it darn hard to figure out the mystery.
I think you'll love Skellig and after that you totally have to read the companion book My Name is Mina because it's one of those typographically unique books and I need to own it. ;)
I have read the entire Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series and I found it a real page-turner. But I don't think it's your cup of tea. Death Comes to Pemberley was very ho-hum. I expected more of P.D. James. And I expected Darcy and Elizabeth to be involved in the sleuthing but they weren't at all, except for incidentally. I figured the whole thing out before the reveal and, in many ways, the whole thing was rather dull.
Dorothy Dunnett is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. I'll be talking about the Lymond series much more when I finally get around to posting my highlights of 2013.
