31 Days of Halloween 27 October

Today was a lovely gloomy day with cold drizzly rain--am I the only person who finds those days lovely?  I'd find them even better if I could stay in bed or on the couch and read trashy fiction all day.  Instead, I headed to lecture, then came home and made lunch with my housemate (yummy chicken in Indiana garlic/yogurt sauce over rice and steamed broccoli).  We went for a 1/2 mile walk afterwards (we probably would have done more but rain is not conducive to enjoying a stroll.

Housemate and I then headed to the Bake House to do some work.  I had a hideous time wrestling with my prospectus.  It's LATE and it's also not going anywhere.  *sigh*  But then we headed to Target to pick up a few necessities and I "dream shopped".  Essentially I took pictures of the things I would have bought had I the money and the space to keep them.  I really hit the Hallowe'en section today.  I hope you enjoy my pretend spree as much as I did!

I was pleased that Target still had their Halloween decor up...sadly every one else is already full on prepped for Christmas.  Geez!  Let me enjoy one holiday at a time.

I'm not usually one for fuzzy socks, but it's at that stage in the year before we turn on the heat, so my fingers and toes get cold from time to time.  And this little owl is too precious!

They have a WHOLE suite of these skull things for dinnerware!  I would LOVE to have a set of 4 or at least 2 of these.  Ah, well, maybe next year.

In addition to the plates they have beaded placemats.....

And table runners.......

And more things to help one keep warm, albeit in a different way :D

Ok, so I have a bizarre soft spot for skelanimals.  I especially love the little vampire guy here.  At the beginning of the season, I bought an skelanimal owl key chain, so I have a bit of my the holiday fun!

Finally, I find the phenomenon of glitter skulls and pumpkins quite amusing.  I'd happily have 2 or 15 of these about the house LOL.
