So, not last Saturday, but the Saturday before that, I went to Yorkdale with some friends and we watched
Wall-E. I was going to make a post the next day gushing over how ridiculously cute and wonderful the movie was, but then I decided that I wanted to make icons from Wall-E. So I gathered whatever pictures I could find (not very many good ones), and made some icons, and was going to post them last week, but school got in the way.
I was going to post them last weekend, but then I went to Yorkdale again with Michael and Mom and saw
Hellboy 2. I was then going to make a post gushing over how that movie was full of awesome and fun, but then Michael got
Assassin's Creed for the PS3 (a belated birthday present from myself), and I spent hours watching him run around on rooftops and kill people with his funky hidden blade which he likes to draw and retract from his sleeve like a yo-yo. Despite what many reviews have said about the game, it's actually quite enjoyable, and the story is wonderful. But I can agree that it gets a tad bit repetitive after the third assassination.
I was then going to make my long-awaited post a few days ago, but I was naive enough to pick up
Okami again, looking for just a few hours of pleasure and nothing more. Three days later, I've gotten almost 100% on my first file, and I just have to collect four more stray beads before I enter the final boss area, and I have already started a new file already six hours in length. This isn't fair; this game should not be as wonderful and addictive and colourful as it is; it breaks the laws of gaming physics. I mean, this game made me sad when A DEMONIC PIECE OF PAPER DIED! A PIECE OF PAPER! THE ORIGINATOR OF ANNOYING AND DIFFICULT RACE LEVELS, ONE WHOM I CURSED TO KINGDOM COME EVERY TIME HE WANTED A RACE! AND I WAS SAD WHEN HE DIED!
Gah!
So, two weeks later than I had originally intended, here are the Wall-E icons that I've pieced together. You know the drill, credit if you take, yada yada yada.
- 4x EVE
- 1x M-O
- 11x Wall-E
I highly recommend that you all see Wall-E. Why? Let me reduce the long review I was going to give two weeks ago to a single sentence: any movie that makes a cockroach adorable and wonderful to watch deserves your attention. That is all.
Today I'm seeing
The Dark Knight, so expect to see a post gushing about it in about, oh, I don't know, two weeks maybe.
