I went to Grad Knight and it was surprisingly fun. When five o'clock came Sam and I went to Mount Bonnell and talked about life while we watched the sun rise. Then we had breakfast with his parents and he slept while I read Charles Olson's essay, "Projective Verse," and H.D.'s long poem The Walls Do Not Fall. Both of those were really inspiring for me.
Then Sam woke up and we watched the Townes Van Zandt documentary. It was a really well-made and powerful film, but the main thing about watching it for me was that I hadn't really known his music at all, and I think some of those songs are just incredible.
But my real point with all of this is that life is still good, and I have had only ten minutes of sleep in the last 36 hours.
