The recital went well. Today was Maurice's birthday, so I got him a copy of Beirut's album, which is really good (I bought one for myself also). At his house there was pie, and ridiculous stories from some party last night. Once most of the people had left, he and Laura wanted to rent a movie so we went to Hollywood video but I forgot to bring shoes, which would have looked less weird if I wasn't also wearing a tie.

Anyway, life is ridiculous, but good for right now.
