this movie is amazing

damn.

i just spent about a half hour searching for a particular book which i saw in a bookstore and can't for the life of me remember the details, but really want to find/read it,
and wonder if i could enlist the help of you lovely people.
sounded really strange, but had the coolest tone/diction.

the title was three words, i'm pretty sure, and one of the words was "boy."

the one i saw was hardcover w/ jacket, bluish, kind of life of pi-colored, probably ~100-200ish pages?

began with funny drabbly stuff, about some of the most significant presents the boy had received when he was little, including a cow that went moo which he adequately named Moo, and a record or tape of a bajillion minutes and tracks of applause from famous moments, but the thing never told you which moments they were from, so it could've been the yankees winning the world series or a crowd at the fair or a formal dinner etc.

i think it's roughly about this kid dying (suicide, methinks) and things unfolding in strange ways and his father figuring out about [stuff] and his son's life and descent and all sorts of things after. sounded to me like the general plot was not so original, but the way in which it was written was; and goodness, so funny (and a bit of dryish humor)

anybody heard of it/read it/know what the title is?
