People piss me off. EVERYONE knew this wouldn't be a 16-0 season for the Pats without Tom Brady. EVERYONE knew we would lose some games. And yet people are griping and bitching now about backing Matt Cassel as a QB and writing him off as 'horrible,' and blahblahblah. Which, y'know what? He wasn't ace today but neither was the O-line, neither was the defense. I'm pretty sure it wasn't Matt Fucking Cassel that let Ronnie Brown have his way with them. Was it? OH WAIT NO! THAT WAS OUR DEFENSE WHO LOOKED LIKE THEY WERE SLEEPING HALF THE GAME.
It comes down to the Pats playing like crap today, but people all of a sudden gaming up on the backup QB who's only in his SECOND NFL start just because of one loss? It's fucking shit, and I KNOW that half of those people are just bandwagon assholes who LOVE it when Brady's throwing 50 touchdown seasons but COME ON.
/sigh.
Sorry, I'm furious.
I'm not saying Cassel played well today. He didn't. But he didn't SINGLE HANDEDLY LOSE THE FUCKING GAME.
