Clove and I went to our local salvage/construction shop yesterday and looked at tons of fictures, cabinets, etc. We were there for wood, so got that. On the way out we ran into some neighbors who we met through neighbors, they are a really cool couple, so we chatted away for awhile. It is nice to be meeting more people who live nearby, and are political, ecological and into the area.
After yardwork afternoon I called some friends and suggested they come by for a "fire in the backyard" hangout. It was nice, relaxing(well, until our friend put some juniper in and it flamed up like it was soaked in gasoline, and the ground under the firebowl caught on fire) We stomped it out, and stayed with branches of bare wood. Jariggs called and asked us to meet up for a beer so we did that, it was fun to catch up with him, but we stayed up TOOO LATE, and I had to wake at 730(which felt like 630, Daylight savings style) to go to this amazing local sale at our great nursery. 50% off of everything, from 8-10am only. My neighbor and I drove up and joined the plant-mad throng. She went shrub crazy and I got us a cherry tree. Yum.
Now I am peppy from plant-plannerliness and also very very sleepy.
