snow and then glitter
Yesterday we got hit with a nice, heavy snowfall. It was gorgeous, and we had breakfast in bed and wathced it fall. Then we went on a long walk, came home and shoveled it clear. I learned(the hard way) to clear out our driveway, after the snowplow went by. Last week we got iced in. It made me realize that I have never had a car and driveway at the same time(well, my driveway in St Mary's and short-lived car, but that whole street was like a dirt driveway, so it is different). Of course all the shovelling was barely necessary, as today seems to be a melty day.
We last-minute invited Flitterkitten and Apple to come over for the Oscar's. It was fun, I hope they didn't mind watching them TiVo style, we paused a fair bit in the beginning(getting drinks and popcorn together) and fast-forwarded through commercials, boring songs(are you kidding me with the Dreamgirls montage and Celine Dion?) and most of Chris Connelly, boring. But, we loved Ellen, she was hilarious. And that dance troupe was cool and I Loved the sound effects choir!!!
I felt very un-informed this year, hardly saw anything. Ah well.
