Multiple Monday: Here's Looking At You
It was bound to happen eventually. Multiple Monday on Tuesday.
1) Does anyone look like the body?
I do somewhat, though my hair color is lighter and my face is more narrow. -Jana
2) Does anyone especially like/dislike looking in mirrors?
I really like it. I like seeing how the body looks with me in front. -Ned
a number of the kids like looking in the mirror and get a kick out of controlling this other body. -quiet
3) Does the body's appearance change depending on who's in front?
Yes, it does. James' feet are much smaller than this body's are. In fact, he wears shoes half a size smaller than anyone else. -Jana
Which is really weird for a big guy. I mean James, in his body, is like a foot and a half taller than this body is. -Ned
I just don't see what the big deal is about my feet being small. -James

the eye color changes. my eyes are deep brown inside and the outside eyes are brownish-green when i front. -quiet
The eyes are bright green when I front. -Sarah
They are grey when I am in the front. -Jana
They're blue for me. -Ned
when bryhna fronts the eyes are blue with dark rings around the colored part. -quiet
when we measured the body at a kids' museum with one of those sound wave height machines it varied in height from 5'2" all the way to 5'4". we thought is was just people standing up straighter or slouching, but we had other people check our posture and it really was just that varied. that was very cool. -quiet
4) Do people use their own affects/voices in the front?
Mostly yes. If someone doesn't speak English s/he will generally use a translator. James has a pronounced rural accent and Bryhna has a Scottish one. They will sometimes not use their own voices, particularly in front of the kids since we have a one voice/one name policy with them. That said, this household plays fast and loose with that policy. Everyone uses his/her affect no matter what. -Jana
there are folks with british accents and at least one irish accented person in our household who sometimes front and use their voices. -quiet
I don't think there's any way not to use your affect. I mean, it's one thing to use the public voice (or try to and trust me some of those tries are really freaking funny - just get James to say "Yup" or Bryhna to say almost anything) but It'd really hard to change the words you use or the way you carry yourself. -Ned
5) What physical characteristic(s) of the body would you change if you could?
I'd like to have less back pain, to lose about 10 pounds, and to have breasts that are at least 3 cup sizes smaller. -Jana
I'd like to be taller. (The body's officially 5' 2.5".) I'm really tired of having to climb up to get things. -Ned
I'd like it to be taller, too. -James
I'd like the body to lose about 20 pounds. -Sarah
we'd look like anorexics. -quiet
Don't even go there Sarah. We weigh 160lbs. About 30 of those pounds are the breasts. The arms and legs and the rest of the trunk are great. -Ned
i'd like us to need only 3 hours sleep a night so there'd be time for everyone to do whatever s/he wants to do. -quiet
