So everyone, here's the first chapter
CHAPTER 1:
"So what's up?" she asked as they both sat on the sofa of his house.
"Where's Okaa-chan anyway?" she asked again while he started to remove his jacket.
"She said they won't be back by morning." He stretched his arms up and yawned. It was a really long day for him since he had to go for the shooting of his drama early in the morning and for their variety show from the afternoon until this evening.
She noticed the eye bags under his eyes and she's sure he's really tired now.
"Ne..." he nudged her side while blinking his eyes for numerous times to keep himself awake.
"What is it?" she tried to act as if everything was okay.
He slouched his back and looked up.
"Sorry..." he suddenly said.
He then sat straight to look at her reaction but she just kept a straight face.
"Don't you think... Sometimes... We should talk about our problems too?" he tried to hold her face but she removed it at once.
"We never get to talk about anything about this relationship and we've been together for 3 years." He slumped his back again to the sofa.
"About the scandal.... I'm really sorry." He was waiting for her to answer but then, she still won't show any reaction.
She had a hard time getting that matter out of her head and just mentioning it already made her feel sick.
"I think you're already tired and I'm not that feeling well so I guess... I guess I won't be able to stay that long." She took her hand bag and stood up.
"You agreed to meet up with me today after not answering any of my calls for at least 2 months." He slowly stood up and she turned her back from him in order not to meet his eyes.
She was going to take a step forward when he suddenly pulled her hand.
"Let's... Let's just... break up.... ne?" he said.
She closed her fists. Hearing it from him is painful but she suddenly felt a sense of relief.
"You're busy writing while I'm starting to become busy because of my drama and our group's activities. I think I won't be able to give any of my time for you any more."
He slowly released her hand after hesitating for a while. He didn't want to let her go but he has no other choice. He can't just take back what he said.
"Really?" she said in a soft voice.
"Then that's fine with me. Just tell Okaa-chan and Otou-san, thanks for everything." She said cheerfully and started to walk for the door.
Feeling a sudden rush, he immediately followed her to see her wearing her heals. She smiled to him and bowed her head.
"And thank you for everything, Hiro-kun." Seeing her bow for the second time still with that smile on her face, he didn't know what to do so he just bowed to her too.
"Jya, Sayounara..." She waved her hands to him and went out of the house.
When the door closed, she released the breath she was holding and stood still. Her tears suddenly fell down on her face.
'You've been thinking about this for months so why are you crying now?'
She was going to ask him about it that was why she said 'yes' when he called her to meet him tonight.
It was really painful for her that the scandal got out in public.She was keeping it as a secret from him, that she knows about it even before it was publicized because she doesn't want to burden him any more now that their group is starting to gain popularity all through out the country. He's very busy and having a problem between the two of them may just affect his work. Sadly, he has to face that situation alone now.
"Yosh!" She shouted to cheer herself up. She wiped her face and started to walk towards the gate but she couldn't stop on crying.
Inside the house, he can be seen in front of the window, peeking outside to see her walk away.
"Baka," he chuckled and walked to the kitchen. He opened the fridge to get a can of beer.
He knows that she wants to break up with him and knowing her, she won't be able to bring the subject up so he did it himself.
'You're not happy with me any more, right?'
He wiped his face when he noticed his tear fall to his shirt. After opening the can and taking a sip from it, he walked back to the sofa and lied on it.
"Baka."
He closed his eyes and smiled, now pertaining the word to himself.
"AAAAAAAAND CUT!!! Well done everybody! Let's pack everything and go home since we need to be early tomorrow." Director Haneda said, a 40 plus year old man as he fixed his scarf.
"And let's give a round of applause to our dear writer, Yukimura Maria-san for this very different and exciting story line. I'm sure our drama will also get high ratings just like her other dramas."
The staffs cheered as they clapped their hands.
"Please visit us again when you're free." He bowed to the 28 year old woman beside him and she did the same gesture.
"I will and I should be the one thanking you all for doing your best. Good luck to all of us! Otsukare sama deshita everyone especially to Ohno Satoshi-san and Ayase Haruka-san. Thank you very much!" She said.
Everyone clapped their hands again and she tried to not notice someone's stare at her.
It was already the fifth day of the shooting of the newest drama she wrote and everything seems to be going well according to the schedule. Just like in her past dramas, she visits the studio to check up on everything, if it is going to pass her standards especially this new drama since it is very special to her.
After chatting for a while with the staff and the celebrities, she bid goodbye to everyone and decided to just walk down using the stairs to buy some more time for her as she think of a new idea for the next episodes of this drama. She suddenly heard her cellphone ring so she answered it.
"Hai?"
"Un..."
"I'm going there now. See you~" she smiled and placed it back inside her bag.
When she got in front of the TV station, a man wearing a black cap stood a foot on her side.
"Otsukare sama deshita," she bowed to him and he bowed back.
They stayed silent for a while and then a van stopped in front of them.
"Where are you heading?" He asked a bit coldly as he fixed his cap but she didn't answer.
"Ohno-kun! Let's go or you'll be late!" the door of the car opened and the person inside shouted.
"Well then, jya~" He bowed to her and so she nodded. He got inside the car but before he can close it, he went down again and held the door open.
"We can drop you off wherever you're going," he said but still, she won't answer him.
He was getting a bit impatient since she's been trying to avoid him since they saw each other this morning. It felt weird for him to see her not even look or smile at him.
He looked around to see if there were people around and when the coast was clear, he went to her and pushed her inside the car.
"WAI-WAIT A MINU- ITTAI!!!"
Accidentally, she bumped to the door of the car. Without thinking twice, he pushed her again inside, now making sure that she's safe.
"Ittai! What are you doi-"
"Oh! Maria-chan!" When she looked in front, she saw Manager-san smiling at her but she just made a weird smile now that the car was already moving.
"It's been a long time since you've been with us again! Don't worry, I won't tell anyone about this," he winked and chuckled.
She started to rub her head and looked to her side to see the guy beside him who moved his gaze away immediately from her when she did.
"Where should we drop you off?" Manager-san asked.
"I... I..." She looked at him again and saw him wear his earphones.
"To Shinjuku please. I'll be meeting a friend there," she said to the manager.
He didn't turn on his ipod so that he can still listen to what she would say.
'Meeting a friend, huh?'
He touched his chin and scratched his nose as he stole a glance from her again. He saw her staring at him so he smirked.
'Looks like he knows I'm lying', she thought.
"Ano, Manager-san, can we talk for a while?" he asked in a somewhat high-pitched tone.
Manager-san looked at them and made a smile with a malicious meaning.
"Baka" Ohno smiled and crouched as he stood up and went to the farthest seat at the back.
As usual, she followed suit but sat a seat apart from him.
They stayed silent again for almost 15 minutes.
'What are we going to talk about?' She thought.
She then saw him laugh silently.
"Where did you get that 'He knows that she wants to break up with him and knowing her, she won't be able to bring the subject up so he did it himself' idea?" he suddenly asked.
"I have my sources," she said.
"Really?" he chuckled again.
"So you really wanted me to play that role all along... Director-san told me that you requested him that they should give the role to me."
"What if I do?" she said with full confidence.
He looked at her.
"Maria-chan! We're here!" Manager-san shouted.
She immediately stood up when the car stopped but then he pulled her hand.
"Let's... Let's just... break up.... ne?" he said.
'Is he mocking me?!'
She turned around and rolled her eyes at him to see him laughing.
"If this drama will rate, which I'm sure it will, you're going to regret this," she said while smiling.
She stuck her tongue out and opened the door of the car to go out. She can still hear his voice, laughing.
"Damn this guy" she cursed in a small voice.
"Ano ne, Ohno-san..."
"Hai?" he wiped his eyes because of laughing.
"Make sure to memorize all your lines 'cause I don't want any problems during the whole shoot. I know you're not good with memorizing them."
She then took her phone from her bag.
"Manager-san, it's nice to see you again and thanks for the ride," she smiled sweetly to him.
"Ah, iya, I couldn't actually talk to you a while ago since the people might suddenly say something," he chuckled.
"That's okay, Jya~" she bowed to him and looked at the back to see Ohno-san biting his lower lip. She closed the door and saw someone familiar in front of her.
"Hi Babe!" he kissed her on the lips and placed his arm around her shoulder.
"Hi!" she said and smiled at him.
"Let's go?" he said and they started to walk away.
"Ooooh! So it's her boyfriend~" Manager-san weakly smiled to the guy behind him as he went back to his initial seat.
"Baka," Ohno said as he closed his eyes and smiled bitterly to himself.
