Hello, friends --
I haven't posted much recently, and I've decided to make this journal a private journal from now on. I'm still keeping it around, so I can read my friends list and make comments, but don't expect any more posts.
I have a new, public blog, at http://essaysandtrials.blogspot.com. I'll be writing there occasionally. I'm not sure how often, but I plan for that to be a space where I can try out thoughts and arguments and where I can craft essays. All of the writing there will be at least minimally polished, and most of it less narrative than things I've written here. However, I do expect to write some autobiographical essay, and those will be more traditionally personal than what I've written on the blog so far. I must add, though, that the essays and arguments are also intensely personal, even if they're not about events in my life: they're about my understanding of life, a window into my mind.
It's been almost four years since I began this journal. I've taken some surprising roads. For those of you who are still my friends, I hope we keep in touch. And for those of you from whom I've parted ways, I wish you well. Shalom --
