Ack--poor Lex. I feel his frustration. I wonder if Kal and Lexx can understand just how broken Lex is. They've had generations of love, and Lex hasn't had anything decent in his life for a long time.

A very good point. Hell, I can't remember what I did last week. Last century? Fuggedaboudit!

That's so true. So true, in fact, that when I read that, I got a little misty. Every time he thinks he does have something good, it falls apart, bites him in the ass, or turns out not to be what he'd thought. He's got to be one of the most tragic characters of all time.

Thanks for posting!

AMEN!! I can not tell you how often I have ranted to anyone who will listen to me that the Lex Luthor character of WB's Smallville is not evil...he's tragic. When the show first began I kept looking for the evil...the underlying sociopath that MUST be present for true evil to exist but, over and over again the show only reinforced a Lex not evil but beaten, broken, tragic and misunderstood.

Oh, yeah. He's the ultimate 'misunderstood hood.' Give him a leather jacket and a motorcycle and just one person who understands him despite everyone else's naysaying (starts with a C, rhymes with lark) and they'll write a tragic song about him. Or maybe they already did. Leader of the Pack, was it? ;)
