I'm not dead.
I also have nothing new and CLexy for you to enjoy. Many apologies for that.
It's come to my attention recently that I haven't posted anything or created anything in three months, and I thought I'd better drop a note just to let you guys know that I'm still around, CLex is still on the brain, and MTS is still getting finished. No worries there! ;)
I just thought I'd take this opportunity to offer a little information that might put WIP-nervous minds at ease, and also give me a chance to squee a bit.
My mind hasn't been actively engaged in fandom for a while because my very best friend in the whole wide world, voiceless009, is leaving her home in England to come to America for the first time to stay with me for nearly five weeks. She arrives this Thursday.
voiceless009 and I met years ago through--believe it or not--slash. I know. Shock abounds. heh We were both into Lord of the Rings at the time (yes, we were hobbit-fanciers), I wrote a plot bunny that was more like a full grown rabbit, and she snatched it up, wrote to me about it, and proceeded to... well... um, she never actually wrote the story, but that's not the point. Ahem.
Over time, we grew very close and over the last couple of years, we have become inseparable--we go together like salt and pepper, bread and butter, peas and carrots, Republicans and prejudice, fries and catsup, hot chocolate and whipped cream, peanut butter and onions... well, maybe not that last one. Anyway. Suffice it to say, we've been looking forward to this for a long, long time.
So, if you find that I seem to have dropped out of fandom recently, and you worry when I don't really pop back in again until, well, probably late September, don't fret! I will be back! I have not forsaken the CLex! MTS will be finished! (I always finish my WIPs once I start posting them. I swear it.) More vids will be posted! And if anyone pisses me off enough, rants will abound! ^_^
In the meantime, pop over to voiceless009's LJ and wish her a safe and un-nerve-wracking trip, and don't forget to cover your ears on Thursday as the squees we let loose with upon seeing one another are likely to cause internal bleeding in humans up to two continents away.
