I finally wrote a song that I think I actually like. It is an overcast day, which I love, and I was looking through Deviantart at the drawings and poems, and I decided I was going to write a song. I just kinda started and went all the way through. I think I have the music for it too, but I need to figure out the exact Cadence of the lyrics. Well, here it is, let me know what you think.
What is our love?
Is it a solar flare, Bright red and hot as hell,
but bound to set at some point
The horizon fast approaching?
Is it the lingering ember of Comfort?
No real passion, no open mouthed kiss,
But more of an I feel so safe in your arms sentiment?
Do I drive you wild? Or is it just a more mild sensation?
Whether or not you tell me you love me depends,
But on what? Some unnamed x or y, elusive at best,
And yet we let this most sacred phrase pour from our mouths
Slipping off tongues lined with desire.
Or is it perfect? How can we know?
Does it just feel right?
But for how long?
Whatever happened to forever?
Whatever happened to right now?
