I think I would have serious problems living in Vegas - too much excitement, too many reasons to stay out late and have a good time! I would be trolling the bars, looking for Gil Grissom, LOL! That show's not even on the air anymore is it?
I think a lot of big cities are like that - the people are rude and unfriendly.
Staten Island is kind of like a small town in a big city ... there are more people here, but it seems like everyone knows everyone else. Case in point, I took a cab to my friend's apartment Friday, and the cab driver was talking about how he used to be a security guard in her building. He was very chatty and seemed to be curious as to who I was seeing. I told my friend about him, and it turned out she knew him, and she gave me all the dirt on him - like he didn't have a TLC license (Taxi and Limousine Commission - they license all cab drivers in NYC) and other things, too.
I don't mind being in the local paper (I was in the paper last Sunday - I linked to it on the bipolarsurvival community page), but I don't want people knowing all my business, either.
