Is there any equivolent for serotonin syndrome with dopamine?
And if there is, has anyone here had it or know what the symptoms would be?

Thanks for your help!

I checked at rxlist.com and it listed:

"In the case of accidental overdosage [of dopamine], as evidenced by excessive elevation of blood pressure ....."

Anyway the main side effect of too much dopamine is elevated blood pressure.

excessive dopamine will lead to fun things like hallucinating insects crawling all over you and very, very extreme paranoia - amphetamine/cocaine psychosis resembles schizophrenia in these respects, the only real difference in presentation is that one goes away and one doesn't... (I'm referring of course to the "positive symptoms" of schizophrenia, the catatonic kind is quite different).

adding to clarify for those who it isn't obvious - uppers that would cause a speed psychosis all elevate dopamine, hence the psychosis once the dopamine levels go past a certain point. schizophrenia is also associated with high dopamine levels - which is why drugs that treat it can cause Parkinson's if they lower the levels too much; however, it is not clear if this is a cause or an effect of the disease.
