Well, I was recently diagnosed with rapid-cycling bipolar disorder. Prior to this I thought I was just suffering from depression, social anxiety, panic attacks, and crazy mood swings. I have been on Lamictal for a year. 200mg of Zoloft. 200mg Lamictal. 2400mg Neurontin. I told my doctor that I still have mood swings like crazy, and I was given samples of Abilify. I am supposed to start with 5mg for a week and then move on to 10mg. I took the 5mg pill along with my other medication yesterday. I can't describe how awful it made me feel. Reading all of the different side effects, I think I managed to experience them all. Crazy nausea, restlessness, wanting to die, etc. I am wondering if this will pass and eventually I will feel better and it will help with my mood. I am really afraid to continue taking it with work and school. I don't want it to ruin my life outside of my bedroom. Has anyone gotten past the side effects? Or once you get them, do they last the entire time you're taking the medication? I read that someone got used to it after 3 months, but I really don't have the ability to have a really shitty 3 months of terrible work and poor studying.
Thanks!
