how safe/humane is it for a doctor to take you off of xanax cold turkey? because he did and man, i am not doing well. shouldn't he be slowly lowering the dosage over time?
he certainly picked the worst time to do it. i was just beginning a summer class - which i dropped. and i was just starting a new job - which i just got fired from yesterday.
i informed him of these things when he made the decision but he really didn't seem to care or take them into consideration. "i need to find other ways to cope with my anxiety and panic attacks" apparently.
