(no subject)
i'm just getting over strep throat. i haven't had that since, like, the second grade, but it's been going around at work and i guess getting it was inevitable. fortunately, i caught it before it got too bad and started on some antibiotics, so i can't complain too much. i've gotten to lie uninterrupted around the house for the last two days while drinking lots of honey-lemon tea and watching tv. is it sad to say that i kind of miss work? i guess boredom really is the best way to tell if someone is well again.
james and the grenadines are playing a show this saturday night at eagan's in t-town. i think it starts at ten o'clock. if you haven't seen the grenadines yet, you're really missing out. lauren strain (the vocalist) has just absolutely spot-on pitch, and the rest of the band kicks ass as well. the band is comprised of former and current members of the rewinds, in addition to model citizen's original bass guitarist, james mccauley.
the show is going to be the ultimate. i will be there, shaking my ass and downing sex on the beaches and "girly" shots.
