I'm just a great composer/And not a violent man
Idea:
Me and the wife start a cover band which only does covers of the spoken intros to songs, i.e.:
-"Are you ready Steve?", "Uh huh", etc. to "Ballroom Blitz"
-a 3 minute tribute to Cake of "Aright"s "Let's go"s and "Okay"s
-everyone's (/no one's) favorite: "Oh my god, Becky..."
-an unsettling monologue of the Velvet Underground's "The Gift"
-etc etc
Anyway, because we're a "cover band", we'll do all sorts of experimenting with reciting these with various accents, stutters, mispronounciations, or maybe simply reading off, say, that frame-narrative opener "Leader of the Pack" *backwards*.
