Its that time of year

Well, here we go with my once a year entry. 2018 was another incredible year. I will say my 30s have been so amazing so far and Im eternally grateful for it all. The biggest thing for me was getting engaged to the man of my dreams after 14 years. I never really cared much about marriage but as I got older I started seeing myself with Andy at our wedding, and it was just finally time.

THE TRIPS:

Thailand and Tokyo-I freakin loved Thailand. They truly treat you like royalty there and its such a beautiful country with amazing food, fun activities and gorgeous scenery. Loved our extra detour to Tokyo for a week on the way home. I absolutely can't get enough of that city and will hopefully spend a few months there someday.

Spain: It was so awesome to finally go on an overseas trip with my family. I feel like we really bonded more then ever here, and they got to really know Andy. Was so great spending time with my Dad especially and doing our morning coffee runs. I don't talk to him a lot when I go visit because Im always with the kids so it was really cool, and it was also my Moms first big overseas trip. Spainards aren't the nicest peeps but the architecture and sights were beautiful and Im so glad we made it happen.

Sedona Arizona: Nice little getaway with beautiful rock formations, cool shops and hippie vibes.

Disney Cruise to Mexico: It was a fun family filled experience with Andys side ands nieces and nephew. It was way too short but a nice intro to cruises and seemed like the kids had an awesome time. I tore it up with Backstreet Boys karaoke.

Savannah Georgia and Charleston SC: Gahhhhhh I fucking love the south! Foodie HEAVEN.  I dream of their peach cobbler every single day. The history, the homes, the haunted jail tour, the bomb ass jeep we were upgraded to. It was everything and more.

Laughlin: It felt good to finally do another river trip with Andy family. So much fun just hanging out in the sun, tubing, rock jumping and then gambling at night. Got to drive a fun red truck around too.

Philly: First time there, it was a fantastic city. Great food, perfect weather. The history is also fascinating. And it is true no one can do a cheesesteak like they can.

New Zealand: Whoah that was a doozy! This was by far the ultimate trip of a lifetime. Spending over a month exploring this mystical and jaw dropping place with a state park at every corner. For an adventurer like me, this place was perfect. From black water tubing in glowworm caves, taking a helicopter and landing on an active volcano in the middle of the ocean, going on a 600 foot high swing dropping into a canyon, ATV adventures, climbing up an ice wall on a glacier, doing a 20 km hike to neon colored lakes, luge rides, most amazing farm visit with too friendly animals,  relaxing in natural hot springs, crystal clear springs, ughhhh its just to pretty and unbelievable there.  If I could recommend any country to add to any bucket list, this would be it !

SHOWS:

Smashing Pumpkins at the Forum and Troubadour. Both shows were my favorite shows of the year, but I feel like the Forum stands out the most. To be there with all my friends with a band that brought us all together was so fucking wonderful. And their set was amazing. 3 hours of bliss with incredible visuals. So so good.

Radiohead x2 in Philly. So cool seeing the last 2 shows of their massive tour. Got to hear everything I was hoping for. They are my favorite band for a reason!

MIA at AMF Fest in DTLA. It had been a hot minute since I saw her and she made me dance hard!

Gwen Stefani in Las Vegas. A little mixed feelings with her excess No Doubt song choice and her whack Rihanna cover, but besides that it was really cool seeing my queen have her own Vegas spectacle!

Beyonce and Jay-Z in Philly. Def not worth the price but you can't argue the fierceness of Queen Bey. I just wish I went to Coachella instead (my only regret this year)

Interpol at Hollywood Bowl and SDSU. Fun shows with fun pals.

Erasure at the Wiltern. 80s dance party with my sister!

The Distillers in Phoenix

Shakira at the Forum

Katy Perry at the Ace

Nine Inch Nails at the Palladium

Bloc Party in New Zealand

JOB

Got to continue throwing fun AF parties all throughout LA, Anaheim, Phoenix, Vegas, and SF on a pretty consistent basis. I LOVE my job and am so grateful for it.

SOBRIETY

Got to celebrate 6 years, have an awesome sponsee and sponsor and a sober circle of pals. I wouldn't have any of this life without AA.

Well thats my year in a nutshell and I am looking forward to a great 2019!!!
