I just saw a guy interviewed on some educational channel who was in prision. He had 3 consecutive 50 year sentances plus life in prision. What the hell is the reasoning behind that? Did the judge say "In the event that you manage to live more the a century and a half, you'll have to stay in jail till you finally do die"? I want to know why it's necessary to deal out punishments that are impossible to fulfill, how is getting 2 consectutive life sentances worse than just one? You spend the same damn amount of time rotting in a cell, wouldn't it be easier to just give them one sentance that says "You sit in a room by yourself till you die of natural causes"? What the fuck is wrong with the legal system?
