Previous Stamps:
Regular: Anders
Origin: Magi
Name: Vanja
Positive Traits: Analytical, independent, rational, clever, open-minded, loyal (to those who have earned it), determined, "humorous"... but that can also be a negative *points below*
Negative Traits: Hopelessly self-critical, secretive, devious, obstinate, sarcastic/mocking/mixed with a dark sense of humor in general, idealistic to the point of cynicism (read: the higher hopes for something I have, the further my opinion falls if it begins to turn sour), argumentative, seemingly contradicting in personality, rather bitter... at least if you catch me on a bad day.
Hobbies and interests:
Beyond the love of video games that I'm sure no one saw coming I enjoy reading-- many of my favorites end up being classics, historical fiction, or fantasy, but I'll at least try to read anything suggested to me. I also enjoy mountain biking, hiking, and music (both playing and listening.) Ah, and tea and coffee!
Dislikes: More than anything? Bigots, gender generalizations, people who complain but don't do anything to change whatever they're whining about, and the feeling of failure. Other dislikes include people who keep me up until 4 in the morning when I have to get up at 7, anything with the words "Hallmark" or "Lifetime" attached to it, when people insist that some random slab of red paint is some type of artistic masterpiece with metaphoric content too awesome for me to understand when it's just a slab of red paint, M&Ms, and privileged people who think they're the most amazing people in the universe when they've never had to do anything for themselves in their lives.
How are you described by others?: Depends a lot on who you ask. I've been called nice and helpful, but also a horrible demon, hah. (Largely due to the mocking and how I can be fairly chaotic, for lack of a better term) Most people - at least after they know me - say something along the lines of "intelligent, snarky, and abrasive."
Is it easy for you to fit in? I know how I'm supposed to act and can if I need to, but I don't really connect to many people. ... so in short: No, not at all. D:
Around others you are more...
Mature or Immature? Mature... usually. I do have more childish tendencies that tend to come out after I've known people for awhile.
Leader or Follower? a background leader. I'm too opinionated and outspoken to be a complete follower, but I prefer to advise rather than outright lead. I will take up a leader position if no one else is willing to and/or the only people who want to are incompetent, though.
Optimistic or Pessimistic? Er, depends? I would normally say realistic, which a lot of people do see as pessimistic.
Impulsive or Cautious Depends? I'm cautious if something is important enough or if I'm playing a strategy game or something, but normally impulsive when it comes to day-to-day activities. I tend to just do things on impulse, but I think cautiously, if that makes any sense?
Outgoing or Shy Reserved, but not shy. I guess I'm outgoing in the sense I'm afraid to express my thoughts, but eh "outgoing" seems to be going a bit far.
What kind of impression do you want to give your partners when you first meet?
Now that I think about it, I never really think about things like this. I hate being seen as incompetent/useless/etc, but beyond that, I don't really care what people think of me.
Would it be necessary for you and your teammates to get along with one another ALL the time?
Not really. There are precious few people who I haven't accidentally offended at one point or another, to be honest. It would also benefit our group to argue and bounce ideas off of each other in many situations, but I'd like to think of that as a more playful disagreement.
That said, I'd prefer to get along with them the majority of the time. Who likes being around people they find annoying for extensive periods?
What role could you see yourself playing in a group setting? (Leader, funny guy...) I have no clue how to answer this. Real life doesn't really have such set stereotypes, and since the people I associate with often share a few traits, the roles are typically divided unless someone is significantly stronger in one area?
What combat role would you want to provide for your group (front-line fighter, magic-caster, healer...)? My past stamps here seem to imply magic caster... XD That is indeed what I prefer to play as well, but usually more of the hexing sort.
What type of people do you tend to get along with best? People who either understand me, at least try to understand, or just don't care/aren't overly judgmental. Intelligent people, primarily... Or at least, people who can have discussions beyond "loooolll did u c jersey shor last nite? that orange guy with the abbs is lyke so hot" Though I also like people I can have fun with and just joke around (or if they're serious, at least don't mind how my own humor can be dark and dirty)~
You tend to NOT get along with those who are... I'll be the first to admit that I don't easily get along with a lot of people. I get annoyed easily by *points to everything in my dislikes*, and other people get annoyed by... a number of my traits. To be very general, I'll say people who are close-minded, frequently hypocritical, or well, my dislikes cover it nicely.
Anything else you would like to mention? I know these themes are harder to vote on, so thanks in advance for any thoughtful votes <3
