Coupla things. Just wrapping up some paperwork. Can I toss Subject 008936E to Lyle, or are you not done with it? If you're not, that's cool, just gotta process this.
Oh don't be silly. Fuchizaki born and bred? And besides, I heard she lost her last job due to a guardian conflict, so she thought we might be kind of useful.
It's kind of weird, though. She wanted to know about admin positions. Also, why is she a guardian? Why is she your guardian? Minoru, I'm curious.
She's not the sort of Fuchizaki you'd expect. The exception to the reputation, rather than anything else.
You know we haven't quite worked out the hows and whys of Callings, yet, though there are plenty of hypotheses. I'm sure you can dig up some paper on that, right? I've decided not to question exactly why she's mine, either.
Did you look into her work history? She's not a good fit for this company. Though she might be safe with admin positions, provided you're careful about the paperwork she has access to.
Oh, Minoru sweetie, you know I can dig up a paper on anything I want to. I have the skills. How else do I get you everything you need?
And yes, I looked into her work history. But she's a Fuchizaki so for starters, I don't trust her work history. And she's getting a degree in psychology at the University of Chicago. I found it kind of weird that she was working at Whole Foods, but the whole situation there felt a little bit sketchy.
Did you know that they hired her on when they were overstaffed with no work history? Also, her social security number is stolen.
Of course she has a stolen social security number. She ran away from the family and got herself a new identity for her 18th birthday. Don't be dense, Ashley, I know you aren't.
Her problem is that she cares too much about other people. Not exactly a family trait.
Oh, why did you see through my clever disguise? You break my heart. Break it.
I went through data on her childhood, too. Never mind that childhood records are supposed to be sealed. That's why I have really long nails and a letter opener. While I definitely see some of the traits you're describing, she's also horribly self sacrificing. I still can't believe she took that possession charge on your behalf.
I think she just needs the right stimuli. And she's cute. Could always use another cute girl around the office.
There's a lot you don't understand about our relationship. Most of what you see in her files is actually her temperament; not a lot of her childhood ones are doctored. She was written off as a failure long before she left.

What's the other thing?

Oh. The other thing. Right. You have a sister?

...what about her?

And she was inquiring about employment opportunities.

God damn it, we talked about that. She...really wouldn't be a good fit for the company.

Did you know that her husband had a record?

...did he now?

And yes. Apparently he got the charges dropped on appeal, but he was actually found guilty by a jury of killing his first wife.
