first race of the year
Completed my first race of the year. Was an easy run considering that I just fully recovered from a flu/nose infection/ sore throat lasting 2 weeks. Managed to complete within my set time and am quite pleased with the results even though they are a little far from my previous timings.
one thing about this race is that its held in SK, and provides a good opportunity for people living on the other parts of the island to explore a little more about the north east. the weather was fine as usual (morning sunny, afternoon rainy). Generally the logistics were ok and well planned except for the baggage service which took a little too long. But must really thank those volunteers that grab a few bags and came out of the tent asking the queue to identify their bags. this certainly helps a lot in queue cutting.
when my turn came, i told this girl that my bag is a black one and she immediately know what bag it is. I'm quite surprised! A black shoebag is so common and i didn't have to tell her its a shoe bag!
if there's a similar race next year, i'll probably join again.
