OSnews had a link to the following article regarding a new anti-spyware program from microsoft.
http://www.bentuser.com/article.aspx?ID=312 i have a big beef with the following statement:
"security software makers, including Symantec, have complained bitterly about Microsoft’s upcoming entry into the security software market, although they have said that they will not pursue antitrust litigation against the software maker"
I can't believe that when microsoft is finally TRYING to make software secure, money grubbing bastards are complaining. if perchance there is litigation towards microsoft for including applications to make the operating system more secure by default and at no extra cost to the user, i will be thoughly unimpressed.
it's all good that security companies saw a need, and filled a need in the past, but they need to accept that sometimes people fix the problems in their products. that's like pioneer getting mad at GM for if they offered decent stock radios in new car models.
