Cake for breakfast! Yay!
- As it's not even 10am yet here, I'll do yesterday for the meme.
I woke up when Dan woke up for work, and watched him get ready and leave before getting up myself. I got on FB to get some directions to my friend M's house, because I was heading there later. I briefly talked to Dan's best friend T in Afghanistan. He said they'd been rocketed 4 or 5 times that day :( I told him to be safe and then I got in the shower.
After showering I got ready and left the house. I hit the gas station where I paid entirely too much and the pump refused to give me a receipt AGAIN, MOTHER FUCKER I AM SICK OF THAT SHIT. (This has been an ongoing issue with me and that gas station, but it's the most convenient and has a low-ish price per gallon, so...)
After that I headed to the public library where I do volunteer work for two hours every Saturday. I had to spend most of it doing non-fiction because most of the fiction had already been put back (BOOOOO). Also, I re-learned a valuable lesson. When someone says "would you watch my stuff for a minute?" YOU. SAY. NO. He was just going to "get a book", which he did, and everything was fine, until he just wandered off again! This guy left his laptop (????) and papers and books and everything FOR AN HOUR. WHO DOES THAT. WHO WALKS AWAY FROM THEIR SHIT FOR AN HOUR? Answer: that guy. I let security know and he thanked me but reminded me, again, that we are not responsible for babysitting people's shit.
When I left the library I took a second to flip through the Pure Romance catalog to decide what I wanted to buy. Then I was starving so I hit the Taco Bell drive-through (all I wanted at the time) and went home to eat really fast. Half an hour later I was on my way to M's house.
M sells Pure Romance, and (TMI) I wanted a new flavour of warming lube plus some Between the Sheets spray (makes it feel silky plus dries the wet spot, bonus). So, I dropped by and bought from her and chatted a bit about how she was doing.
Then, I came home and started reading Pillars of the Earth while Blues Brothers was on in the background. I texted Dan off and on. When Blues Brothers was over, I put in the Office, and watched that until Dan got home.
We watched for a bit together, and decided to go to Blockbuster for movies and candy (we are so very mature), but once there we didn't see anything worth renting. So we headed to Meijer instead to cause trouble, and by causing trouble I mean walking around and looking at stuff :) We left with a new hunting hoodie and underpants for him and a cake (!) for both of us. (I'm about to start my period and I need SUGAR LIKE WHOA right now).
Dan started not feeling well (what his ass gets for eating clearly out-of-date caramel apples) so we came back home and watched the two Family Guy Star Wars movies, and then went to bed.
I really didn't think I did a whole lot yesterday, but when you type it out like that, it fills up, doesn't it? :)
- Dan must be enjoying Halo Reach out in the living room, he keeps saying "aw, shit!."
- YARR, it be National Talk Like a Pirate Day! Drink some rum and grab some booty, or I'll have ye keel-hauled! It be too late to alter course now, mateys, before the mast with ye, harhar!
- Tonight we are taking my parents out to dinner for my dad's birthday, but for now I will lay around, whine about cramps, have cake for breakfast, and maybe do laundry.
- This week at work is going to be hell.
