Being alive: day 4 - Get Him To The Greek
We had some of gabe's friends over for dinner last night. They're a fun couple. And were recently engaged. He's 100% greek from a town just south of Athens. He proposed on San Torini, I can't imagine a better place for a proposal.
They're fun to hang out with. They're a lot younger than us. both in their early 20s. I'm used to being the baby of the crowd, so I had to readjust. I got over it. We have a lot of fun with them.
Gabe made his Pasticcio, which is kind of like Mussaka but with pasta and no eggplant. Béchamel sauce is so freaking amazing.
They brought us back some Greek Liqueur, Raki, which packed quite a punch. It burned like vodka, but tasted like a really dry, unsweet Porto liqueur. It's made from grapes, so probably a far relative of Porto.
