Notes: First, the birth of this mix was inspired by this vid by ru_salki99. It got me hooked on Florence + The Machine. It took two days to put this mix together. There's a lot of instrumentals because I...like them? And well, when I think of angels, these instrumentals reflect that sort of serene feeling.
But this mix is not all happy - it basically tells the story of season 4, Castiel bringing Dean back from hell. Then as the tracks progress, Dean adjusts to Castiel's otherworldly presence in his life, and of course Dean is sent on his mission to stop the apocalypse. Dean and Castiel grow closer during this time and the middle to latter half of the songs represent this. Towards the end of the mix, Castiel sacrifices himself to save Dean so he can stop Lucifer. It's pretty much just like the end of S4. The songs kind of go back and forth (not evenly sometimes) between Dean and Castiel's POV. I hope the lyrics and choice of song are clear enough that you can distinguish which POVs each song represents.
