Notes: A great big huge thank you to arcaneamaranth for suggesting footage after I wasn't satisfied with the first cut of this video, way back in November. Without her help, I don't think I would have been able to successfully re-do this video.
OMG I worked my TAIL off and procrastinated a bit. Never will I redo a video again, lol. The first cut of this video is here in this post which I locked after I initially released the vid, but didn't delete it. I wanted to be able to let people see both versions, eventually, so I kept it around. It's still available for viewing on IMEEM and for download.
What is this video about? Bruce, as Batman and as Bruce Wayne, where the two meet and diverge, about the lengths he'll go to as a man and a symbol to do what he has to do. How the drive that keeps him going is the same drive that keeps the Joker mad - or rather, they're both equals in their passion, one for good, one for evil(?). (And explosions...lots of explosions.) I think the lyrics are kinda self-explanatory! Also, I wanted to do a fast-paced vid, and I really loved the remix of this song, but felt including the original song in parts (I cut the two version of the songs together) reflected the duality evident in Bruce/Batman and even in the Batman/Joker relationship. Or I just really liked the song :p
Old notes, that still apply: This is basically a Bruce-centric/Batman video...with some Joker splashed in because I can't talk about Bruce without talking about the Joker. Slashy undertones, though mostly I wanted to capture the violent, passionate, reckless, dangerous side of Batman, how to balance the life of Bruce Wayne and the vigilante, and of course how someone like the Joker drives him to action.
