yeah, that's exactly what we need. a fucking rule stating that police officers must see a gun in order to shoot at someone threatening to kill them.
if someone was telling you they had a gun, acting all crazy and running at you, would you wait to see the gun? personally, i wouldn't sit there to wait and find out either.
like seriously, what did you expect? if you didn't want the kid to get shot, then you shouldn't have called the fucking police. police hear "crazy person with a gun"...and they're going to do what they can to stop the threat, they're not going to sit there with their thumbs up their asses waiting for them to shoot first.
