Back in Houston
We've been back since yesterday morning (MD Anderson and UT-H reopened yesterday, and I didn't want to get docked a day of work). The apartment was untouched. Not even a broken branch on the bush in front of our patio. *sigh* We did lose cable on Sunday, though; even though we weren't there, we get a day's credit from Time Warner. There's no food in the grocery stores, some places have gasoline, and we were able to get dinner at our favorite Indian restaurant last night. On the plus side, we have a nice route to San Antonio now - one that involves a trip through Shiner, TX. (Shiner Brewery, here we come!) I have to go to State Farm today and get my car insurance/renter's insurance policies written. We spent the morning fixing up the lab again. So tomorrow we're back at work (unofficially).
