Tired, but updating anyway

I'm very tired these days. It seems like I stay tired. I'd love to have
more days like last Saturday--when the family all got together. I got
"bubbled" by the twins, and aside from the bubble to the eyes, it was fun.
We laughed a lot, and I got called silly.
On another note, while rolling a billiard across the table,
Alexander seemed to notice that my eyes weren't open. I wasn't really ready
for that--but it reminded me of a conversation I had with Katie when se was
about that age. I'm glad that I can answer Alexander's questions--but it's
a definite sign that we're all getting older.
School has been very hectic. I'm still feeling very overwhelmed
with all 6 subjects. I also don't know what's going to happen with my first
period class. These students seem to think they can pass without doing any
work at all. I can't even get them to write 9 little paragraphs...just 45
sentences, and they didn't even have to answer a question--just tell what
they had learned in nine weeks of school! And the worst thought of all of
this: This is tomorrow's leading generation! I really am beginning to
understand teacher burn out--and why so many teachers leave the classroom.
I've been fighting sinus headaches off and on since Friday. I went
to church Sunday morning, and Brother Ronnie gave a great sermon on First
Cor. 13. It wasn't the usually "Love everybody because Love is the best
gift you can give" type of thing--nor was it the feel good love type stuff
said at weddings. Yet, it wasn't a total beating either--it was just real,
I guess...that's the best word to describe it.
I'm looking forward to this coming weekend. We have Oct. 13-14 off
for "Fall Break/Columbus Day". I'm going to spend Monday with Kim, and
we're going to Montgomery.
I'm also looking forward to hearing Mrs. Judy play at church Sunday.
My computer seems to be fixed for the moment. I have ordered a new
one, so I'll get to see how well the screen reading software works with
Vista.
