It's been a while since I updated, and really, I don't have much of
an excuse--except I just haven't thought about writing. Apparently few
people read this anyway, because I haven't gotten any nudges. I suppose
I'll start with a little news.
During fall beak, Theresa came to see me, and we took a day to play! We had
a great time, and Cole is just so adorable. He's not talking much, but he
let me hold him, and he even posed for a picture in my hammock swing. So
cute!
Theresa and I also went to wal-Mart, and we got supplies to make a
target for Kitty. Kitty thinks the clicker game is a lot of fun, and she's
enjoying touching her target. She'll touch it rather nicely as long as it
is close to my body--but if I move it out, she is a little hesitant to touch
it. I know she'll get it, though.
Homecoming was this week, and we had a lot of chaos at school. I
gave my classes all tests on Thursday, and that was a disaster. I really
hope we can drift to making more of Homecoming after school next year. It
would be different if the students actually worked on floats, but it was a
huge disaster. I didn't think to charge my batteries in my camera, and they
ran out, so I didn't get pictures of the floats.
Georgiana has made it to the play-off's, but they will not have home field
advantage because of losing to Excel last night. They will play near
Auburn. I'd love to go to that game, because I could probably see a few
friends, but I'm sure they will leave during school, which means I won't
go--I don't want to ride with the team or with the band.
The Fall Festival at church is tomorrow. I bought a shirt to wear
with flowers, pumpkins, and leaves, I think, on it. I'm looking forward to
the Fall Festival. It's always a lot of fun to help out with games for the
kids.
I'm taking Oasis to the Vet School on Wednesday. She's got some
scaly skin around the bases of her ears, and across the back of her neck.
She's also been shaking her head a lot lately--but her ears don't smell
infected, so I'm really confused about what's going on here. Mom is taking
Dallas, so it seemed like a good time to go--I just hate having to burn a
sick day from School.
We have a departmental meeting at school on Tuesday, so that should
be interesting. We are also supposed to be going from some AMSTI training.
I want to see us also go for Science in Motion, and we'll just have to see
when we can work that out. We have to be trained before we can apply.
Sounds like a lot of paperwork to me.
I guess that's about it for this entry.
