New York City, and the drama queen!

Jul 16, 2007 15:37

We went in to New York City today. It wasn't as crowded as I remember from
my trip with Rox, but it was still a great confidence booster! Oasis was
great. She tucked under the seat on the subway, and at the restaurant like
she'd been doing it with me for years! She seemed as cool as a cucumber,
although a bit fluffy for such a veggie.
I ate a really large sandwich--I brought half of it back with me. I
also found a Teddy Bear in a gift shop near Time Square. I guess that
sandwich would be a Jumbo Large.
My vet Visit was supposed to be tomorrow, but Dave Johnson changed
it to today due to some scheduling stuff here in class. I asked the Vet to
look at Oasis's nails, and you would have thought we had shaved the dog, or
seriously wounded her! She made my attempt at drama earlier in class look
like child's play! She was shaking and panting, and she didn't even turn
toward me for comfort until she was off the table, and then, she couldn't
get close enough. She is currently curled under my desk, and she's calmed
down a lot.
I knew shepherds were dramatic, but she's usually so calm and
collected that I thought this would be nothing!
There's a lot I would have loved to write about this class in my
journal, but I am horrible at such things, and keeping up with stuff--so I
think what I'll do is to write about friends and such as we contact each
other after class--that way, we can make sure the friendships and such
weren't artificially created, forced, or whatever.
It was cool to officially meet Sioban yesterday, and it was fun to
go to dinner and have Cappuccino from Redwoods again!
