I really do need to get better at keeping my journal up to date. It’s been all week, and I haven’t written about anything!
My birthday was really nice. Danyell snuck in my room and wrote that it was my birthday on the board, so each class sang to me. By fifth period, I had a real headache! I asked them not to sing, and thankfully, they listened. I hadn’t quite written my 9-weeks test for them, but I improvised that pretty well. One of my students made a cake, and we had that during my planning period.
Mom and Dad sent me flowers and a plant, I think it’s called a dish garden, and I’ve enjoyed it all week at school.
/a> sent me a Chris Rice CD, of piano hymns, which is really awesome! I do wish I could play that well! It was funny, though, because it arrived on my birthday!
I got a couple of tarts for my tart warmer, and some Christmas towels. One student brought me a card, and another gave me an angel figurine! It’s very pretty, and I think I’ll put it on the Entertainment center.
Tues. night, Danyell and her family, Tina and her family, and I all went out to eat. We had a great time, and because it was my birthday, the restaurant brought out chocolate cake with ice cream. We passed that around, too. It was a lot of fun.
Danyell and I went to Wal-Mart after that, and I got all the stuff for making cookies. Rachel, Anna, and I’m not sure who all else were originally coming over, but since I got sick, we crushed that plan. I didn’t want to get them sick during their finals!
Aside from getting a really nasty cold, the only noteworthy thing for this week has been my birthday!
I think I'll try to make some chicken since I just got up from a 4 hour nap, and then write the rest of the semester exams I'm giving!
