Update

I am sitting in my living room, all by myself while Vanilla has a nap. Bing Crosby is singing Silver bells. I am busily ripping all our xmas music and building the appropriate playlist. The smell of our recently erected Charlie Brown tree fills my living room, along with the scent of the fire in the fireplace. All I need now is snow…

Piazza was here with his new girlfriend this weekend. We had so much going on we didn’t get much of a chance to get to know her. She seems nice enough. They were out drinking both Friday and last night. Spent this morning hanging out with them a little while eating oatmeal and drinking coffee. Today has been a lazy day, watched the Seahawks make the 49ers look stupid, and now work intrudes again. Quotes to do and data bases to maintain.

Vanilla and I ditched my staff party to go see Andre Rieu and his orchestra last night. I was supposed to take my grandmother, but she has been too ill. Quite the showman, typical dry Dutch humor. He played some Christmas pops, but mostly traditional carols and at least six Strauss waltzes. A dozen or so encores had all the old people on their feet clapping. This is the first time I have been at a concert at GM Place and been home by 10:15. In hindsight I am glad we went. My staff party would have been fun, but not worth blowing the $450 I spent on tickets.

On Friday we took the Bean (as our new girlfriend shall be nicknamed in this journal) with us while we did Trailer Checks for Disney. Vanilla has been getting contracts all over the place for theatre mystery shops and audits. Lots of fun, good money, can be a hectic schedule. Our Friday schedule did allow us to watch The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. I enjoyed the movie a lot and I am anxious to see if Disney puts out any of the rest of the series, since they have optioned much of Lewis’ work.

I have been meaning to get writing about last weekend’s trip to Seattle. We took our girlfriend to Erosong house for the annual Yule tree-trimming. Seeing Storm again was emotional but worthwhile. It seems the antagonists have all come to grips with talking to me since the Incident almost 18 months ago now. All three of them seemed willing to speak to me and Vanilla without difficulty. The three of us now have plans to attend the Gaia Consort show in February, and I am going to try and get to another OLOTEAS and perhaps a Gnostic Mass. One of the Seattle area OTO groups actually holds them in a Masonic Hall.

Enough the procrastination.

Back to work.
