Our Seattle trip was one of the shortest in memory, but we DID get to have breakfast with
solcita after making plans with her when she was in town in May. Her life is a little more chaotic than the last time we saw her, but we got to have a long talk over a leisurely breakfast at the Portage Bay Cafe (which kicked ass BTW) and get caught up. After seeing her a number of times at the shows it was a treat to get to talk to her in a more relaxed environment. We are hoping for a repeat performance when we go to Seattle in July for the
Rite of Venus.
I have set aside Liber ABA temporarily to read Sacred Word and Sacred Text by Harold Coward. Mr.Coward is a professor of religious studies at the University of Calgary (at least he was in 1989 when this was written). I will put a full review up sometime behind a cut. This is a really great book for anybody who is interested in comparative religion. The really limited printing of what I think is an expanded thesis will probably be hard to find. Contact me to borrow it if you wish.
I am staying with my current job. A mentor I hadn't seen in 5 years told me a few weeks ago not to work for the company who made me the offer, and I trust his judgment. Sales continue to be steady, and my new portable desktop is pretty sweet. I think I can work out the issues at my current job, but I will continue to keep my options open.
Tonight, Arrested Development with
